Hire

Hire dedicated developers and teams.

Hire pre-vetted developers who work as an extension of your team, on your tools, in your sprints, with contracts you control. Choose a dedicated developer, a team extension, a project squad or a GCC setup, review a shortlist, and start with a trial period before committing long term.

Engagement models

Four ways to work with our developers

There are four ways to work with our developers: a dedicated developer, a team extension, a project squad, or a GCC setup for long-term capacity. Pick the model that matches your team size and how much you want us to manage. All four run on your tools and in your sprints.

  • Dedicated developer

One developer embedded in your team.

    Who it’s for
Teams that need one skilled person full-time.
    Included
A pre-vetted developer working on your tools, 160 hours a month (or 80 hours part-time).
    Minimum commitment
3 months full-time; part-time runs month to month
  • Team extension

Several developers added to your existing squad.

    Who it’s for
Teams that need to scale capacity quickly.
    Included
A team of 3–8 matched developers with a technical lead, onboarded to your process.
    Minimum commitment
    6 months
  • Project squad

A small team delivering a defined project.

    Who it’s for
Companies without in-house capacity for a project.
    Included
Developers, QA and a lead working to agreed scope.
    Minimum commitment
    The length of the project
  • GCC setup

A long-term team, set up as your own capability center.

    Who it’s for
    Enterprises building lasting delivery capacity.
    Included
Setup plan, hiring, onboarding and an account manager.
    Minimum commitment
6 months, agreed in the setup plan

Roles available

Which roles can you hire?

You can hire frontend, backend, mobile, AI/ML and LLM, blockchain, QA, DevOps and UI/UX talent. Frontend developers work in React, Astro and Next.js, backend developers in Node and Python, and mobile developers in Flutter and React Native. Every developer is pre-vetted through technical tests, a live coding interview and reference checks before you see a profile.

  • Frontend (React, Astro, Next.js)
  • Backend (Node, Python)
  • Mobile (Flutter, React Native)
  • AI/ML engineer
  • LLM engineer (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini)
  • Blockchain developer
  • QA
  • DevOps
  • UI/UX designer

Process

How hiring works

Hiring takes four steps: share your brief with the role, stack and start date; review a shortlist of profiles; interview and select the candidates you want; then start with a trial period before continuing. You decide at every step, and nobody joins your team without your approval.

  1. 01

    Share your brief

Tell us the role, stack and start date.

  2. 02

    Shortlist

Receive profiles within 48 hours (3–5 business days for specialised AI/ML and blockchain roles).

  3. 03

    Interview and select

Meet the candidates and choose who joins.

  4. 04

    Trial period, then ongoing

Start with a two-week trial. If the developer is not a fit, we replace them at no extra cost.

Vetting

How we vet our developers

Every developer passes five checks before you see a profile: a resume and portfolio screen, a technical assessment with coding challenges, a live coding interview with senior engineers, a soft-skills and communication review, and background and reference verification. You can then run your own interviews before anyone joins your team.

  1. 01

    Resume and portfolio

We screen experience, past projects and the stack they have worked in.

  2. 02

    Technical assessment

Coding challenges in the role’s own stack.

  3. 03

    Live coding interview

A pair-programming session with one of our senior engineers.

  4. 04

    Communication

A review of soft skills and spoken and written English.

  5. 05

    References and background

Background and reference checks before the profile reaches you.

Working together

Time zones and overlap

India is 4.5 hours ahead of the Netherlands in winter (CET) and 3.5 hours in summer (CEST). With our team working 10:00–19:00 IST, that leaves about 5.5 hours of shared working time a day in winter and 6.5 hours in summer. Daily stand-ups and key meetings fall inside that window.

Trust and terms

Contracts you control

You own the work and control the contract. All code and work product belong to you, an NDA can be signed before you share any details, and data is handled with GDPR/AVG in mind. The cards below set out the contract basis and the replacement policy for developers who are not a fit.

  • Contract you can review

We work with your legal team on the contract terms, including EU and Dutch requirements.

  • NDA

Signed before you share details, on request.

  • IP owned by you

All code and work product belong to the client.

  • GDPR/AVG-aware

Data handled with privacy rules in mind.

  • Replacement policy

A two-week trial, with a free replacement if the developer is not a fit.

Comparison

Agochar vs the alternatives

Compared with a freelancer, a traditional agency or an in-house hire, Agochar sits between flexibility and management effort. You direct the work like an in-house team, we handle the admin, and you can scale up or down within agreed terms. This is a general comparison, not a promise.

FAQ

Questions about hiring

The most common hiring questions are about cost, notice period, replacement, time difference and how this differs from an agency. In short: cost depends on role, seniority and model, a trial period lets you assess fit, and developers join your own team instead of working under an agency process.

How much does it cost to hire a developer?

Cost depends on role, seniority and engagement model. Full-time developers cost $4,000–$12,000 per month and part-time developers $40–$120 per hour. You get a clear written quote after a short call.

What is the notice period?

Full-time engagements have a 3-month minimum, team engagements 6 months, and part-time engagements run month to month. Within those terms you can scale a team up or down.

What if the developer is not a fit?

Every engagement starts with a two-week trial. If the developer does not meet your expectations, we provide a replacement at no extra cost.

How does the time difference work?

Our team works 10:00–19:00 IST, which is 05:30–14:30 CET in winter and 06:30–15:30 CEST in summer. That gives about 5.5 to 6.5 hours of shared time with a Dutch working day. Stand-ups and key meetings fall in that window.

Can we interview developers before hiring them?

Yes. You can run your own technical interviews, pair-programming sessions or culture-fit conversations with every shortlisted candidate, and you decide who joins.

Who owns the code, and is our information protected?

You do. Every developer signs an NDA and an IP assignment agreement before starting, so all code and work product belong to you. We can also work with your legal team on specific contract terms.

Can we scale the team up or down?

Yes. You can add developers or reduce the team within the agreed terms. An account manager handles performance reviews, replacements and changes in team size.

How is this different from an agency?

Developers join your team, use your tools and sprints, and you control the contract. An agency delivers a project under its own process and management. If you would rather hand over a whole project, see our five-stage services.
